1. What This Reference Is
Wheat Ridge Residents Directory is a privately operated reference that describes and links to public rolls, indexes, and historical collections connected to Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, and Colorado. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with the City of Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, any state or federal office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Lawful Use Rules
Use the pages and anything reached through them only for a lawful purpose. You may not use the reference to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency
This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. The pages and linked search results are not consumer reports. They must not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.
4. Outside Links and Tools
Assessor portals, recorder indexes, court searches, library collections, sponsored search tools, and other linked services set their own terms and privacy rules. Wheat Ridge Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, price, search result, or data practice. Review the outside provider's terms before submitting information.
5. No Warranties
The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, fee, link, portal, record description, or result is accurate, complete, current, secure, or available at all times. Confirm information with the custodian before relying on it.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision made from a record found through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, visual design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors and are protected by law. A link and a brief attributed quotation are welcome. Full-page republication, systematic copying, and large-scale extraction are not permitted without written consent.
9. Changes to These Terms
New wording may be posted when the service, law, or linked resources change. Continued use after the revised terms appear means that the updated version applies to future use.
10. Restricting Access
The operators may block or limit access, without advance notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses a linked service, threatens the reference, or creates a security risk.
11. Colorado Governing Law
Colorado law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record access in the state is addressed by the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. sections 24-72-201 through 24-72-206. Covered personal-data practices may also be subject to the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. sections 6-1-1301 and following. Those laws do not turn this private reference into a records custodian.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent allowed by law.
